Spatial Design 2 / Weekly Learning

Weekly Learning  Week 1: absent Week 2: A narrative environment involves designing a space that tells a story or creates an interactive experience, blending aspects of architecture, technology, and art . The main goal is to make the space engaging and interactive, not just functional . This approach draws ideas from fields like interaction design (making tech user-friendly), UX design (focusing on user experience), and co-design (involving users in the design process). A key focus is changing the audience from passive observers into active participants . By involving people directly, the aim is to create more meaningful and memorable experiences. There are several ways to create these environments: using the space itself to tell the story (environmental storytelling), adding hidden clues or interactive elements, making the environment react to user actions, letting people build or modify parts of the space, using multiple senses, and building immersive installations for explo...

Spatial Design 2 / Final project

Final Project  Todo: Process: My overall space planning is as shown in this bubble chart, which includes multiple functional areas such as a core product area, a smart office area and a rest area. My art installation will be one of the core highlights of this space. Based on the bubble chart I had made before, I started to make my plan chart to create the corresponding relative areas. Then I started to draw a plan of the main furniture I needed to place on paper. I arranged it according to the proportion of the task and the size of the furniture. Next, I model in Blender. I first built the required long and high area. Mr Zeon required 16x23 After completing the modelling and rendering, I started to make my presentation board. Pre video: Reflection: Looking back at the entire Assignment 2, it was a challenging exploration for me. The core difficulty was how to transform the abstract and sometimes even contradictory user needs in the early research into a specific, feasible and creat...

Assignment 2    To do: Process 1: I first created a questionnaire containing 24 questions about Huawei retail store space issues in a DOC document. Feedback 1: After Mr.zeon reviewed the questionnaire, he asked me to split the questions. Process 2: After I modified the questionnaire, I put the questions into a Google Form and asked my target users to complete it. Our goal was 30 questionnaires. Loading… I made two user personas based on the questionnaire's results: Sun Xiao Chuan and Ding Zhen, who I developed virtually. These two personas have completely different levels of brand loyalty: Ding Zhen is a loyalist who fits the profile of a loyal user, while Sun Xiao Chuan is a critic who fits the profile of an ordinary consumer. According to my survey, these two groups often debate with each other online about Huawei products. Sun Xiao Chuan is poisonous and fits the profile of an ordinary consumer. According to my research, these two groups often debate with each other online ...
