Project 1: Mobile Application Proposal  author: wang sai  Week 1&2 : what is the application design   In the first week, Mr Zeon told us about application design for the "user" and "foundation of app design". We needed to do a "user-friendly" and "seamless user experience", "boosting engagement" Week 3&4 :making project 1 application  In class, the teacher asked us to choose an app we have used before. I chose Youdao Dictionary because I use it daily and am very familiar with it. This also helps me better understand some of its design flaws. Here are the reasons why app design is important, combined with my own perspective to summarize Youdao Dictionary Youdao Dictionary is a Chinese learning and education app. Its interface primarily features white and red as the main colours. The core services of the app are translation and word lookup functions. Its primary target audience is students, followed by travelers. This is youdao ...

Application Design /Final Project: High Fidelity App Design Prototype

Final Project: High Fidelity App Design Prototype Week 13: hight prototype notice During the colouring process, we should follow the rule of 60% dominant colour, 30% secondary colour, and 10% accent colour. The page should include a main title, a subtitle, and content, with distinctions made using text size and different fonts. Additionally, when placing text, we need to give the text an obvious transparency effect. The main text should have an opacity of 85%, secondary text 60%, and tertiary text 50%. If there is too much text, use spacing to highlight the content. In the upcoming high-fidelity prototype design, we will use the original 60% dominant colour, and for the remaining 30% and 10%, we can choose our own colours. We also need to find three people to help with testing, gather feedback, and make revisions accordingly. Based on the feedback from the previous low-fidelity prototype, I made revisions and added colours and animations. The biggest changes were made to the logi...

Week10:     mvp (Minimum Viable Product) With MVP product can save the preliminary expenditure budget, is a necessary process, with the lowest value to understand the user needs, according to the feedback continue to adjust and optimise the product, gradually improve the function and experience, rather than a one-time investment of large amounts of money to develop a complete product, also not with their own subjective to judge the user's needs, this method not only reduces the risk of the early stage, but also improve the product's ultimate success! probability TIMELINE FOR PROJECT Week11&12: Developing a prototype This time I am making a prototype of Yudao Dictionary, I need to use figma to design it, in the design process, I firstly check the related instructional video on bilibili, and then combined with MR. zeon's instruction on the week11 course, I have made a simple design. bilibili Figma Youdao prototype 1 I chose the iPhone 16 Pro Max as my model. I added i...
